We are Official!
We are officially a tax-exempt nonprofit organization under the IRS code 501(c)(3), and the awesome thing about our declaration is that it is retroactive as of November 2013 when we were incorporated!
This is one of those milestones for JH Safe Haven, because we can now apply for grants that we qualified for as an organization, but couldn't get because we needed this status.
Our goal is to make sure Joshua Home is open this year 2014. We are currently running an ongoing fundraiser to Open the Home at www.gofundme.com/Open-Joshua-Home-2014 or click on the Donate button to give securely via Paypal.
On the Gofundme page you will find our Wish list of what is needed to open the home and maintain it until we are fully funded by the county and or other agencies.
Spread the word about the growing epidemic of homeless LGBT+ youth in America, and share Joshua Home's mission, to End LGBTQ Youth Homelessness with everyone you know or meet. We also need in-kind donations, check with your company or associations, they may want to help too! And of course give your best gift today!
